Moxa’s MXview ToGo App provides real-time industrial network monitoring

Proper management of industrial networks is essential to ensuring smooth operation and maximizing availability.

Managing and monitoring industrial networks just got easier with Moxa’s new MXview ToGo mobile app. Often project managers and administrators are busy and on the move, making it difficult for them to stay informed of changes in the status of devices and networks or to troubleshoot situations that could impact network availability.

Now, with MXview ToGo, administrators can continuously monitor their network anytime, from anywhere. Available on the App Store and in Google Play, MXview ToGo puts the capability of the company’s industrial network management software in the palm of your hand. Using the app, you can receive real-time event alerts, monitor network/device status and configurations, and quickly identify field devices right from an Android or Apple iOS device.

“Mobile users now outnumber desktop users, and we are seeing this trend expand into the industrial automation workplace,” shared Richard Wood, product manager at Moxa Americas. “Since engineers joining the workforce today are accustomed to using mobile devices in their private life, it is only natural that they would want to use these same devices to simplify their work life with our MXview ToGo mobile app.”
Using MXview ToGo, event notifications are pushed directly to an administrator’s mobile phone, allowing them to instantly check the status of the network, including whether the network is operating normally, warnings have been issued, or a critical situation requires immediate attention.
In addition, field technicians doing a regular inspection or troubleshooting can use  MXview ToGo to scan a QR code to view specific device information without connecting to a laptop computer. By deploying the built-in device locator feature, users can also trigger a particular device’s LED to blink so they can quickly locate it out of hundreds of similar devices.
The new MXview ToGo app and MXview software (v2.6 and later) work seamlessly together as a client/server network management solution, providing a visual representation of network topology, while empowering users to perform configuration, traffic load monitoring, and historical event playback.
