Muir Data says its CMMS will use the latest information technology including tablets to record maintenance details even while technicians are in the nacelle and then cloud-database storage, sophisticated reporting, and analysis. The benefits of such a system will be to trim time off tasks, increase accuracy, and provide displays for historical data. For the office, it will eliminate paper forms, improve planning and scheduling, connect data to other business systems, and it promises to improve analysis with predictive maintenance management to minimize O&M costs and maximize turbine uptime.
