The Multipod provides another way to maintain blades

By Paul Dvorak | October 14, 2016

At the same time the TMP can clean and polish the blades with environmentally friendly products in a quick and perfectly safe manner.

The Multipod can inspect, clean, and polish turbine blades with environmentally friendly products in a quick and safe manner.

ISL Wind provides a full range of services to complement the wind energy market. Services include the inspection, cleaning, analysis, repair, and ongoing general maintenance of wind turbine blades at heights from 70 to 104 m, in-situ across Europe, USA, South America, Canada, and Asia.

Other methods to cater for higher hub heights are available.

The company says its TMP1 (the Multipod) lets it visually inspect blades and supply accurate live still images of defects or damage, all to industry recognized standards.

Additionally, the TMP can clean and polish the blades with environmentally friendly products in a quick and safe manner. A water storage system, generator, and water heating system are only part of the package.

ISL Wind maintains that a planned maintenance schedule, which includes cleaning, polishing, scanning, blade testing, and blade repair will help prolong the life of turbine blades.

The company has been set up to offer a product that maintains wind turbine blades in a professional manner using the latest innovative technology and implementing the safest possible access methods.
