NaturEner picks PCI’s cloud-based platform to manage its wind project contracts

By Michelle Froese | March 13, 2018

NaturEner USA has deployed PCI’s secure, integrated, web-based cloud platform to manage its unique contract settlement workflows for its Balancing Authorities and operating wind projects in the Northwestern U.S.

Data management

With a built-in allocation’s engine, PCI’s platform can operate on a set of pre-defined variables that are fully configurable to fit client-specific business rules.

“Our wind-only Balancing Authorities operating in the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region present a unique set-up that provides stable and robust support for our renewable energy integration activities,” said Marc DeNarie, Chief Information Officer of NaturEner USA.

“PCI proved itself to be our desired agile software partner that could effectively deploy a flexible, scalable platform for not only our current business requirements but also our future needs,” DeNarie added.

PCI Contract Settlements allows buyers and sellers to automate the settlement and billing process for complex bilateral contracts, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) or Tolling agreements, and to perform the settlement of bilateral transactions.

PCI Vice President Jason Hebert noted, “We are proud to have NaturEner as part of our growing list of clients that manage renewable portfolios in North America. The secure, high-availability cloud platform that NaturEner selected facilitates rapid deployment of all PCI value-added solutions.”
