Relight, an Italian company in renewable energy, is entering the U.S. market to invest in the wind and photovoltaic sector. Relight U.S., New York City, has set a target to reach at least 2,000 MW installed capacity in wind power in the U.S. in five years, mainly in the south-west and central states. To hit that target, the company says it will exploit its experience and knowledge in solar, photovoltaics, and to invest in other “green” technologies. The total investments will require funding of $4 billion, accompanied with the recruitment of an American and international team of managers and engineers.
The company says its strategy for entering new markets is based on the support of local partners to reach areas of investment.
The company, an investment group headquartered in Milan, operates in the international renewable energy market and is involved in development and acquisition of plants at every development stage, in all renewable energy technologies. Relight has an international corporate structure and operates through different subsidiaries according to the country or the technology.
