Nordex’s year-t0-date order intake in Q4 2014 has risen to 112.8 MW, an increase of about 36%.

Eleven different project developers, municipal utilities, citizen wind farms, and private-equity investors in the German market have ordered 47 turbines for their wind farms. Approximately 90% of these are IEC3 turbines designed for low-wind locations, a segment in which Nordex has had a particularly competitive product for a number of years, says the company. In addition, customers have awarded contracts for the N117/3000 IEC2 turbine, which is certified for terrains with stronger winds.

Nordex has also been able to substantially boost its output in the execution of orders this year. To date, it has installed 169 turbines in its domestic market, an increase of 64% over the previous year.

“The strong demand for our products is very gratifying for our entire team – particularly our engineering and sales staff. Our customers always attach particular importance to on-schedule delivery and we have impressively been able to demonstrate that we can achieve this. Accordingly, we are facing the new year with great confidence,” says Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, a member of Nordex’s Management Board.
