The wind turbines have an operating range of 4.8 MW and will be installed in Texas for a proposed 180-MW wind farm. The order includes supply and delivery and a Nordex premium service agreement with a term of five years.
Nordex says its N149/4.0-4.5 wind turbine is the company’s highest yielding onshore model for light and medium wind regions. The series ensures that the highest possible energy yield is obtained: up to 28% more compared to the N131/3600 turbine.
It is the company’s second order of its kind installed at a U.S. wind energy project. Nordex also recently secured a turbine order in Oklahoma for the N149/4.0-4.5 Delta4000 series.
