NRG Systems announces rebranding campaign focusing on global renewable energy

By Nic Sharpley | July 31, 2013

Renewable NRG SystemsNRG Systems has changed its name to Renewable NRG Systems, Inc. The manufacturer of resource assessment and turbine optimization equipment has implemented a rebranding campaign to communicate its vision and future direction. Through this rebranding, which includes a refresh on its complete identity, the company is highlighting its commitment to providing whole systems and solutions to the renewable energy market.

A new tagline, “See the Potential,” emphasizes the company’s objective to provide customers with the decision support tools they need to make informed choices and be successful throughout the life cycle of their project.

“For over 30 years, we have grown into a global business with customers and dealers in more than 150 countries,” said Jan (Blittersdorf) Blomstrann, owner, president and CEO. “Though our roots are in wind resource assessment technology, our products — both existing and those in development — allow us to expand the company’s reach into a broader market. We are thrilled that our new brand is well-aligned with this focus.”

The independently owned company was founded in 1982 in the small town of Bristol, Vermont, when the wind industry was in its infancy. Throughout its growth, Renewable NRG Systems has remained dedicated to providing world-class measurement technology and committed to the core values of environmental stewardship, fair employment, profitability, integrity, innovation and dedication.

These values are expressed every day through the company’s products, lean manufacturing processes and innovative human resources practices. Operating out of two LEED Gold manufacturing facilities, the company has been recognized as a model employer on a state-wide and national level by the Wall Street Journal, Winning Workplaces, Best Places to Work, the Vermont Governor’s Office and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Renewable NRG Systems worked with Richmond-based Interrobang Design Collaborative to develop the new brand. “Working with Interrobang and watching as they bring Renewable NRG Systems to life has been so rewarding,” said Kat McQuade, director of marketing. “The most interesting part of the process has been seeing the new look used in a variety of applications.”

The full rebranding campaign will take place over several months, with collateral refreshes, packaging updates and a website redesign in the works. The company remains fully committed to continuing its existing wind and solar product lines, as well as supporting customers—many of whom have collaborated with the company for 20 years or more.

“Our brand is evolving, but our principles remain the same,” Blomstrann added. “We will continue to focus on our manufacturing roots, live our values and develop our expertise to support the success of renewable energy.”
