Plan feature in Breeze shows a wind farm’s entire maintenance schedule

By Paul Dvorak | November 4, 2016

Plan, a new section in Breeze software, brings an overview to all maintenance activities scheduled for a wind farm. Single or recurring O&M tasks, site accesses and turbine downtimes can now be scheduled with ease. Plan enables users of Breeze to save time, stay proactive and plan wind farm activities more efficiently.plan-1

Plan is built up of a number of sections which can be used separately or together depending on a company’s preferences. The sections that make up plan are: Overview, Tasks, Site Access, Downtime, Personnel, Companies and HSE.

Home of the Plan section is Overview where all previous, current and upcoming events are shown in a GANTT chart. The Overview schedule can be filtered on time frame and event type. The user is automatically informed when a site access is overdue. Tasks, Site Accesses and Downtimes, further explained below, are all listed chronologically in the Overview GANTT chart.

Tasks in Breeze enables organizations to link multiple events, actions and stakeholders together in a clear and structured fashion – tailored to a typical wind farm management workflow. Define task categories, create repeating tasks and assign to staff members or external contacts.

Log Site Access in Breeze to keep track of personnel on site and what wind turbines that are affected. Link Site Access together with a task to keep track of the purpose of the visit, people involved as well as other factors that may be relevant.

Enter Downtime in Breeze to keep track of planned turbine stops related to scheduled maintenance versus stops that were not planned for. Set start and end time, number of affected turbines and link the Downtime item to Tasks to bring clarity to what it is regarding and who is involved.

Companies and Personnel enables users of Breeze to build a library of contacts linked to your wind farms – for keeping all contact information close at hand.

The HSE section, short for Health, Safety & Environment enables organisations to log work incidents related to wind turbines. Breeze has support for the UK’s WTSR.

Plan’s many features can be used separately or together depending on preference and preferred workflow.
