By Nic Sharpley | September 5, 2013

PowerWind’s first turbine sits behind Shenandoah High School.

The Shenandoah School Corporation has completed the installation of a wind turbine manufactured by PowerWind Ltd with the support of SUREnergy and the project’s owner Performance Services. Beyond environmental benefits and the reduction of electricity bills, the wind turbine provides an opportunity for the students to gain a better understanding of the technology and environmental sciences. Shenandoah School Corporation was able to begin the installation of the turbine on August 29, 2013. “We are very proud to install PowerWind Ltd’s first WEC in the US. The entire team did a very good job. Also, the cooperation with our Indian manufacture let us be very content and hopeful for realizing more and more projects in further States,” says John Fellhauer, project developer  of SUREnergy.
