President Obama recently visited a Wisconsin manufacturer of large energy storage modules to learn more about renewable energy platforms, and highlight his clean energy policies. The President expressed praise for companies leading the way in clean energy manufacturing and helping the U.S. economy grow.
“For years, we’ve heard about manufacturing jobs disappearing overseas,” he said at the event. “Well, companies like this are showing us how manufacturing can come back right here in the United States, right back here in Wisconsin.”
The company, ZBB Energy, plans to keep its expansions domestic and open operations in southeastern Wisconsin. The company’s products, essentially a large battery and controls, help transform intermittent renewable energy into a reliable power source that makes it easier for companies to use green energy in their operations.
“We’re honored that the President selected ZBB Energy for a visit,” CEO Eric Apfelback says. “It allowed us to showcase the work we are doing here, and drive interest in a greener, more sustainable economy.”
