An online web service provides access to the industry’s largest blade catalogue and helps wind turbine manufacturers significantly speed up the blade qualifications. LM Wind Power has launched software which ensures faster delivery of load assessments, encourages cooperation based on open standards, and enhances integration and responsiveness throughout the supply chain.
With LM e-Load, the company aims to trim time off the process that qualifies turbine blades. The software tool is based on a seamless integration with the latest version of the load calculation software Bladed 4.1, which generates data in a format compatible with LM e-Load. This lets LM Wind Power crunch the numbers and deliver load assessments to a customer overnight.
“A blade-qualification process is an iterative effort where the smooth exchange of data between LM Wind Power and the wind turbine manufacturer plays an important role for the overall lead time,” says LM Wind Power CTO Frank Nielsen.
LM e-Load, a web based service, provides a high level of flexibility and convenience. It also provides access to the company’s large blade portfolio and removes the time consuming data formatting from blade qualifications. LM e-Load represents a step towards increased integration through data exchange based on open standards within the wind industry supply chain.
