A few Xtek manufacturing capabilities include a full complement of gear cutting machine tools through 220-in. dia, in-house custom gear carburizing and hardening, and through hardening, and gear grinding to AGMA quality 12 specifications.

With a background as a manufacturer of custom gears and replacement gearing for demanding applications, Xtek, Cincinnati, Ohio, can manufacture and repair gearboxes to meet or exceed original design specifications. The company says its engineers can provide a failure analysis, reverse engineer components, and recommend improvements for upgrading the performance of an existing gearbox. Company goals are to build or rebuild gearboxes, and to manufacture a product that provides additional capability and requires less cost to maintain. The company says its new and rebuilt gearboxes include:

  • Custom designs that can replace existing equipment without costly modifications
  • Industry standard gear-cutting tools
  • Run tests to monitor gear contact, noise, vibration, and temperature
  • Emergency repair service on all OEM designs
