Robots lend a helping hand

By Kathie Zipp | January 10, 2012

helical roboticHelical robotics presents the HR-1000LL mobile robotic platform. The HR-1000 Series represents a revolution in robotic platform design, versatility, and application. Through the use of a Mecanum wheel drive system and the application of magnetic force, Helical Robotics has produced a mobile platform that has the ability to effortlessly navigate almost any ferromagnetic surface in any orientation.  Adhesion and down force is achieved via a magnetic source held above the traversed surface, thus allowing the multi-directional potential of the Mecanum wheel drive system. Increased carrying and lifting capacity is accomplished by any combination of additional down force or traction without threat of harming the surface. Testing has proven the HR-1000 Series capable of vertically delivering payloads several times the weight of its less than 100 lbs. chassis.

The HR-1000 Series platform is available in custom designed, single or multiple segment configurations capable of fitting almost any need. From light-lift cameras, inspection, and testing equipment to heavy lifting such as welders, robotic arms, and mobile cranes, Helical Robotics can design a multi-functional payload delivery system for your needs.
