By Paul Dvorak | October 15, 2015

Rosendin Electric, one of the nation’s largest private electrical contractors and an employee-owned company, has received a Constructech Gold Vision Award for the second consecutive year, making this Rosendin Electric’s fourth Gold Vision Award in five years. Rosendin Electric received the 2015 Gold Vision Award in the category Specialty Contractor: Electrical Work More than $500 Million.

Rosendin El

Resendin Electric says is has worked on over 12,000 MW of wind power and employes 378 veterans.

The Constructech Vision Awards acknowledge companies that have applied technology in innovative ways to remain competitive in the field of construction. This year, Rosendin Electric was chosen for developing a new software tool that can accurately track daily productivity and installation rates for construction projects. A custom-designed Oracle tool for Field Operations, the Productivity Management module is able to track daily productivity and analyze labor and job specifications to accurately forecast labor costs to completion. The component was integrated into Rosendin Electric’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, providing management with a single view of a project’s operations and productivity in order to make more accurate projections and corrections in a timely fashion.

“Tracking daily productivity on the job was an arduous, manual task. With this new program, we are able to accurately record daily installation rates and track production against plan,” said Sam Lamonica, CIO for Rosendin Electric. “So far, we have found the new Productivity Management module to be a valuable tool, allowing us to track productivity and labor down to specific tasks. We recognize the value this brings to our teams, and we are delighted to receive the

Constructech Gold Vision Award as an acknowledgement of the significance this kind of innovation has for the industry at large.”

Rosendin Electric also received a Gold Constructech Vision Award in the category of Specialty Contractor: Electrical Work in 2014, 2012, and 2011.
