Scottish Renewables Green Energy Awards, EICC, Edinburgh, 3rd December 2015

Implement Director, Steve McDonald, accepts the Export Award on behalf of SgurrEnergy at the Scottish Renewables Green Energy Awards.

Renewable energy consultancy, SgurrEnergy, won the Export Award at the prestigious Green Energy Awards 2015. The awards, hosted by Scottish Renewables, attracted a wealth of high-profile entrants and provided an opportunity to recognize the determination, innovation, and creativity that has defined the growth of clean energy.

The Export Award was reflected an outstanding achievement in growing sales in overseas markets. In winning this award, SgurrEnergy demonstrated expertise in managing a successful export strategy, expanding overseas operations, and developing its international presence.

Operating from a network of offices around the world, SgurrEnergy’s global team of over 250 engineers and consultants have extensive international experience and an impressive track record, having assessed more than 160 GW of renewable energy projects in over 90 countries.

Recent project work has taken the Glasgow-based company to far flung places including Pakistan, Mongolia, Taiwan, Jordan and Korea; supporting our clients wherever they are operating. With a new office recently announced in Chile, bringing the company’s total number of global offices to 16, SgurrEnergy is on target to reach its strategic goal of 20 offices by 2020.

In terms of the wind industry, SgurrEnergy provides consultancy and a range of wind-monitoring services. It is also one of a small number of internationally recognized advisors delivering due diligence services to banks and finance houses investing in wind projects.

“It’s a huge honor to win the Export Award at the Green Energy Awards,” said Steve McDonald, SgurrEnergy’s Implementation Director. “To be successful in such a competitive category with high-profile companies shows how far SgurrEnergy has come in such a short space of time. We have had a huge amount of success working internationally, being involved in projects from Malawi to Mongolia, and will strive to expand our overseas presence, in line with our company objectives, to continue to deliver exciting projects around the world.”
