Two Shermco executives will provide session expertise at the upcoming AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Seminar to be held in San Diego at the Hotel Del Coronado, Feb. 2 to 3.
James White, Shermco Industries training director and a recognized expert in electrical safety, will speak on the ‘Regulatory Future’ from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 3. He will specifically discuss ‘Arc Flash PPE Requirements in NFPA 70E-2015’ and ‘OSHA 1910.269/1926 Subpart V.’ Afterwards, Paul Idziak, Shermco Industries vice president of the Machine Services Division, will present ‘Balance of Plant for the Owner/Operator’ from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Balance of plant issues are increasingly an important part of the ongoing operation of a project. This session will address key planning and operational challenges from an owner/operator standpoint. Substation maintenance planning and interconnection challenges and more will be discussed.
Kevin Alewine, Shermco Industries director of marketing, will also provide updates as the Chair of the AWEA Operations and Maintenance Working Group.
