James White, Shermco Industries training director and a recognized expert in electrical safety, will speak on the ‘Regulatory Future’ from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 3. He will specifically discuss ‘Arc Flash PPE Requirements in NFPA 70E-2015’ and ‘OSHA 1910.269/1926 Subpart V.’ Afterwards, Paul Idziak, Shermco Industries vice president of the Machine Services Division, will present ‘Balance of Plant for the Owner/Operator’ from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Balance of plant issues are increasingly an important part of the ongoing operation of a project. This session will address key planning and operational challenges from an owner/operator standpoint. Substation maintenance planning and interconnection challenges and more will be discussed.

Kevin Alewine, Shermco Industries director of marketing, will also provide updates as the Chair of the AWEA Operations and Maintenance Working Group.

The AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Seminar is where owners, operators, turbine manufacturers, material suppliers, wind technicians, managers, supervisors, engineers, and occupational environmental, health and safety professionals come together to: share strategies to manage wind project assets; analyze the environmental, health, and safety challenges workers face; learn about the future of the U.S. O&M market; and network with top asset managers, OEMs, and vendors.
