Shermco’s Jim White (left) receives the Outstanding Achievement Award from NETA President Mose Ramieh.
Shermco Industries training director James R. White was presented the 2012 InterNational Electrical Testing Association’s Outstanding Achievement Award during the annual member luncheon at this year’s PowerTest 2013 Electrical Maintenance & Safety Conference, held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
“The Outstanding Achievement award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond for the industry and for NETA,” said Richard Piet, Marketing and Communications Manager for NETA. “Mose Ramieh, the president of the NETA organization, had identified Jim as the person most deserving of the award. Mose commented that Jim has been passionate about electrical safety and the betterment of the industry for many years, and to recognize him with NETA’s outstanding achievement award was most fitting.”
White is a trusted electrical safety trainer and educator who regularly writes for the industry’s trade publications. He has a long and distinguished career in the electrical industry and has held a wide range of industry chairs and posts. He authored “Electrical Safety: A Practical Guide to OSHA and NFPA 70E,” published last year by American Technical Publishers. The book is a comprehensive overview of electrical safety in the workplace, and is written as a course text with an instructor’s guide and workbook also available.
