Shermco promotes Kevin Alewine to Director of Marketing

At the annual Shermco Sales Summit this month, Ron Widup announced the promotion of Kevin Alewine to director of marketing.

Formerly the director of renewable energy services at Shermco Industries, Alewine’s new responsibilities involve overseeing Shermco’s corporate marketing efforts in both the USA and Canada. His responsibilities will include market development and strategic planning as well as advertising, trade events, public relations and online visibility.

“Kevin has many years with the company and an intimate knowledge of all aspects of our business. Prior to his work with Shermco, he had vast experience in international marketing, business development and applications engineering and we are glad to combine all these talents to work for us,” said Ron Widup, president and CEO of Shermco.

Alewine is an active member of several Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and American Wind Energy Association working groups. He is also the current chair of the AWEA Operations and Maintenance Working Group responsible for developing and maintaining recommended practices for wind energy asset maintenance.  He is also on a Department of Energy panel developing long term strategic planning for the wind industry and is the technical chair of the AWEA Windpower 2014 conference in Las Vegas running from May 6-9.
