Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy to present product and service innovations at HUSUM Wind 2017

By Paul Dvorak | September 7, 2017

In its presentation at HUSUM Wind 2017 trade show, Siemens Gamesa focuses on solutions that enable wind farm operators to meet the requirements and challenges of the auction model in Germany. In the second auction round of the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) in mid-August, a clearing price of 4.28 Eurocent per kilowatt hour (ct/kWh) was obtained. In this context, highest efficiency in turbine technology, as well as intelligent service and maintenance offers, are necessary to realize projects which are economically viable.

Innovations at 190 square meters: The new Siemens Gamesa booth 3B12/14 in hall 3 at HUSUM Wind 2017.

From 12 to 15 September, Siemens Gamesa will show market-leading solutions and innovations on its 190 m2 booth 3B12/14 in hall 3 at HUSUM Wind 2017.

After the merger of the two companies, Siemens Gamesa is able to offer the industry’s broadest wind energy turbine portfolio for different site conditions. The company offers geared as well as direct drive turbines for wind classes IEC I till IEC III.

To provide customers with commercial advantages under the specific market conditions in Germany and in other auction-driven markets, Siemens Gamesa has made its portfolio offer even more flexible: Through equipment variants and scalable rotor-generator combinations, the highest possible energy yield is achieved.

Highlights are rotor diameters of 142 meters and a selection of towers with hub heights of up to 165 meters. Furthermore, digital remote diagnostics services and a modular service portfolio allow for reducing down times to a minimum and making technician assignments as cost- efficient as possible.

“For the future bidding rounds in Germany, our technology offers ideal conditions thanks to lowest electricity generation costs”, says Ricardo Chocarro, CEO Onshore at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. “At HUSUM Wind trade show 2017, we want to show that, being a large player in the industry, we emphasize the features with regards to technology and efficiency.”
