By Michelle Froese | May 10, 2017

From “Blade to Base,” Sika Corporation offers a full range of sealant, adhesive, structural bonding, grouting, admixture, and coating products. The company will exhibit its latest innovations at AWEA’s WINDPOWER 2017, May 22 to 25, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

Learn more about Sika’s blade-repair kit and other products for the wind industry at AWEA’s WINDPOWER 2017.

Sika’s turbine solutions offer the wind industry rapid, reliable, the cost-efficient solutions for manufacturing, installation, and repair applications.

“The wind industry is a very dynamic and challenging environment. The utility companies are demanding OEMs produce more durable, lower cost units, that generate greater energy output,” said Mark Daniels, Vice President of Transportation / Appliance & Components for Sika.

At WINDPOWER, Sika will showcase its unique SikaForce-7800 Red & Blue, a two-component polyurethane structural repair adhesives and SikaDur Blade Repair Kits. In addition, Sika will also present its line of polyurethane adhesive and sealants (Sikaflex), silicones (Sikasil), and two-component MMA structural adhesives (SikaFast).

“In addition, the wind repair market is the fastest growing segment in the renewable energy industry,” added Daniels. “The sealants and adhesives required to properly repair the wind blades and turbines are not the products you buy off the retail shelves. It is important that Sika educates and provides the best repair solutions that expedite getting the turbine units back on line.”

Sika Corporation, a member of the American Wind Energy Association, will be at Booth 3844.
