A manufacturer of industrial encoders has developed one for the wind industry. Scancon’s SCH94 is a Ø 94 hollow shaft encoder, with options of Ø 12, Ø 16, or Ø 17 mm as well. The super heavy duty encoder can be used for up 5-MW generators, on or off shore applications, can resist almost any heavy duty exposure, mechanical and electrical.
