Temporary roads go down for transports and come up when the project’s done

By Paul Dvorak | November 24, 2014

Northern Mat & Bridge has supplied Wind Farm projects with matted sites to build and store turbines as well as crane mats to support heavy lifts. Whether access is required due to poor site conditions, private land requirements or sensitive areas, Northern Mat & Bridge has the access products, expertise and experience to implement access solutions that save money and save the environment.

Matting protects against soil degradation such as soil compaction, rutting, and erosion.

Many benefits come with using access matting for energy and distribution projects. Safety is a big one, says that company. Access matting provides a safe and stable platform for foundation and line crews to safely and easily travel and work from the matted access roads and work platforms.

Access mats provide protection of soils and crops on private and crown land during construction phases on a project. Matting protects against soil degradation such as soil compaction, rutting, and erosion. The use of matting can also prevent cross contamination caused by the transfer of microorganisms from one area to another.

Access is pivotal regardless of the industry or which stage of the project. We have built a line of dependable access mats that enable crews and heavy equipment to reliably reach their destination. Rigid, sturdy, and quick to setup, the solutions offer an affordable method of keeping a project on track.

Reliability and convenience are the foundations of a strong access service. We understand that delays are costly, so we complement our top quality products with fast response services. With the largest fleet of access mats and specialized matting equipment in the business, we can respond to any job quickly.

Northern Mat and Bridge offers a variety of different access mat products, each suited to the environment and workload. These are all available for rental, purchase or our attractive ‘lease to own’.

Crane & Digging mats provide a reliable foundation for heavy equipment to operate from. Northern Mat has a variety of sizes to suit different size machinery, and all are built with premium hardwoods, #2 grade Douglas Fir, or Hem-Fir Lumber.

Our crane mats are built for easy transportation and adjustment on site, following operations and saving time.

With optional notched or cabled ends, our timber mats are a simple task to adjust on site. Even with the ultra heavy duty construction, we know that operations never stay in one place, so we built our products around how our customers work.

Product Specifications
