This bolt turns low torque into high load

By Paul Dvorak | May 26, 2010

Difficult wind turbine bolting applications require a simple and cost effective solution. Multi-jackbolt tensioners from Superbolt in Booth 2310, fill the bill. They significantly reduce the torque required to tighten and loosen large nuts and bolts. Only small hand or air tools are required, which greatly increases safety and reduces downtime. Superbolt tensioners provide a number of advantages that make them well suited to wind turbine applications. Superbolt tensioners can retrofit onto new or existing studs. They are well suited for use in applications that call for high preloads and torque, and with space restrictions and vibration. Multi-jackbolt tensioners provides a cost efficient and safe bolting alternative.
