Endurance Wind Power says its E3120 produces more power than others of comparable size. The unit, built to work in moderate to high winds, is ideal for farmers, small businesses, large homes in areas of North America that have net metering restrictions of 40 kW and up. The turbine can produce in excess of 180,000 kWh/yr depending on wind conditions.
Three companies will collaborate to produce wind turbine blades at the Amtech LLC North American manufacturing facility in Washington state. Amtech is a fabricator of large scale and complex geometry composite products. The other two companies include Endurance Wind Power Inc, a North American producer of small to mid-size induction generators and grid-connected (inverterless) wind turbines, and Ashland Performance Materials, a manufacturer of unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy vinyl-ester resins.
“Ashland’s resins for wind energy let Amtech produce lightweight, high-quality blades for Endurance,” says Amtech CEO Douglas Christie. The table includes a few specs.
