UL 508 approved pin and sleeve switch outlets

By Kathie Zipp | June 2, 2010

Ulysee (thermoset) and Alupres (aluminum) switch outlets provide on-off power control and are rated for direct switching of motor and other highly inductive electrical loads.

The outlets feature mechanical interlock that allows electrical operation only when a mating plug is inserted. This prevents plug removal when power is on, which eliminates arc-flash hazard.

In particular, the Ulysee has tough impact, heat, and chemical resistant housings rated IP66/IP67. Both outlets feature halogen-free materials and are compatible with all IEC 60309-1&2 type plugs. The rated voltage is 125 to 500 V and current is 16 to 63 A.
