UL releases Q2 2018 Wind Trends Bulletin

By Michelle Froese | July 19, 2018

Wind Trends Bulletin Q2 2018Renewable energy consultants, UL (formerly AWS Truepower) have released their Q2 Wind Trends Bulletin. Monthly wind performance maps for the first quarter of 2018 show deviations in the wind resource from average conditions for the month in every region of the world.

In the second quarter of 2018, winds were above normal relative to the long-term, second-quarter norm (1988 to 2014), across key wind-power producing areas of the northeast United States and the southern Plains, northern Scandinavia and Central Europe, Northeast Asia, and New Zealand.

Winds were below normal across Asia, and central United States.

Download the Q2 2018 Wind Trends Bulletin here. If you would like to see the wind index for more countries, check out the 2018 Wind Index.
