A S Karanth says
This talk is interesting and valuable to say good things about Technicians. The value of these people is above normal repairing technicians. The motivation they can get derives the up-time of the turbine. However much all the support manuals are given for trouble shooting and fix problems, it is always the genuine interest of the people to keep improving the skills to make it better in time, quality and also collect data of the part, in trouble or the Turbine performance… which can become strong data support for the better turbines to come from their designers. The HR philosophy on these employees need to be unique and no where same as the people who work at Mfg plant or Headquarters. I wish more awareness come to respective people who govern their welfare and support their good work. Need to hear more experienced case history to applaud these people achievements.
