Vayu launches wind-energy optimization cloud software

By Michelle Froese | November 20, 2018

WindWISDEM, developer of a cloud-computing platform that optimizes wind-farm performance, has changed its name to Vayu Corp. A Ystrategies Corporation portfolio company, Vayu has announced the availability of its wind-energy optimization cloud software.

Wind farm optimization with Vayu

Vayu says its focus is on “Intelligent Operation” so as to bring efficient operation, maximum power, and predictable profit to wind customers. Learn how it works here.

“We’ve achieved our goal of creating a cloud computing service that can optimize any wind farm and produce an optimization report for any wind service stakeholder in the world, including wind-farm operators, OEMs, and investors,” said Jim Kiles, CEO of Vayu.

“Not only can it significantly help increase wind energy production from existing infrastructure, it can help the financial community better evaluate farms for investments and acquisitions,” Kiles added.

According to the company, VayuAI is a cloud computing platform that lets users access breakthroughs in plant-level wind farm optimization and control via a simple-to-use web-based interface.

In addition, Vayu has added to it team with the hiring of August Kiles, a Lead Product Engineer responsible for managing the development of all VayuAI products and services. Kiles’ background is in operations research and financial engineering.
