It’s well known that renewable generation has been growing, but seeing a visualization reveals how remarkable its growth has been. In this SlideShare infographic, Ventyx illustrates the growth of renewable assets over the last 40 years.

To demonstrate the changing landscape, the company included past and future retirements of traditional assets. And looking forward at the future of renewable assets, we’ve looked at planned renewable capacity over the next 10 years.

When you compare planned renewable investments (Slide 8 says 167 GW of wind, solar, biomass, and geothermal are planned through 2023) to planned retirements, it’s easy to see how renewable generation may become a dominant force in the future. The new generation is coming of age.
