Vestas wins North American wind deal

By Michelle Froese | November 16, 2017

Vestas turbineVestas says it has signed a conditional agreement for the supply of wind turbines for a new project in North America. The project will be for 300 MW wind farm. However, Vestas has not released other project or contract details.

If and when the project translates into a firm and unconditional, the company says it will provide another company announcement.

Vestas recently joined RE100, a group of global companies dedicated to increasing demand for renewable energy. Led by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP, RE100 is a global, collaborative initiative of influential businesses committed to using 100% renewable electricity to accelerate the transformation of the global energy market and aid the transition toward a net-zero emissions economy.
