Webinar: Improving Efficiency – Wind Forecasting and Assessment

By Heather Centorbi | November 12, 2013

imageAs more wind energy is added to the grid, the inclusion of a weather measurement system to a wind farm is critical to ensure it meets financial and performance expectations. The data collected through the use of wind forecasting and wind resource assessments can detect turbine underperformance, decrease weather uncertainty, and predict wind farm productivity. Developers and operators are able to better plan day-to-day operations and maximize revenue.

For this Improving Efficiency Webinar, Second Wind and Vaisala discusses how the integration of a weather measurement system can increase turbine efficiency and output.

Watch this Webinar to learn:

• The impact weather uncertainty has on wind-energy assets
• The value of wind forecasting and assessment tools and equipment
• How to get the maximum performance from a wind farm
