Webinar: New Ideas for Repairing Gearboxes and Generators

By Heather Centorbi | July 1, 2014

editorialpicWind-turbine-gearbox and generator failures have been a challenge to the wind industry for years, but engineers at companies that design, refurbish, and study them say they have a handle on the real causes of the failures and how to repair them. Some research has focusing on oil contamination, shock loads, and heat as a few of the problems.

In this webinar, experts from Gearbox Express and Shermco Industries will discuss the most recent data on failure modes and current thinking that goes into rebuilding and remanufacturing a better gearbox and generator.

Attendees will learn:
-What to expect to fail
-Steps to ensure it is less likely to fail that way again
-The importance of a preventative maintenance program
