Welding safety presented in interactive guide

By Paul Dvorak | November 8, 2012

The new online guide is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and Android technology.

Welders of all skill levels can access the safety information they need anywhere, anytime thanks to Welding Safety Interactive Guide. It converts Lincoln Electric’s Welding Safety Interactive DVD into an easily accessible online format viewable on computers, tablets, and mobile phones.

Intended to educate arc welders about potential arc-welding safety hazards and the safe practices they should follow, the guide offers information on a wide variety of topics, including how to avoid electric shock, prevent fire and explosions, and choose appropriate personal protection equipment. The guide also provides safety insights from the American Welding Society and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The program’s content can be understood by welders at all experience levels, providing a valuable resource for everyone from welding students to professional welders out on the jobsite. “We’re excited to deliver a mobile-ready platform on the best welding safety practices for the welder and present critical safety insights for everyone from weekend-project warriors to professional welders in fabrication or construction,” says John Petkovsek, Director Environmental Health and Safety at Lincoln Electric.
