The Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and its Vestas V27 225-kW wind turbine.

RSC Bio Solutions teamed up with the Great Lakes Science Center, a museum and educational facility in Cleveland, Ohio, to demonstrate the qualities of readily biodegradable EnviroLogic 132 lubricant versus conventional petroleum lubricants in the hydraulic pitch control mechanism of the museum’s wind turbine.

In the end, the bio-based lubrication fluid performed so well that, after a complete change of fluids, the turbine owner decided to continue using the cleaner fluids over petroleum-based products.

In this Wind Talk podcast, hear from Lisa Owen, vice president of marketing and business development at RSC Bio Solutions. She talks about the impressive results of the Great Lakes Science Center project and about other environmentally friendly products manufactured by the company.
