Input from 85 wind-turbine owners and employees, working for 47 different energy companies in 27 countries on 6 different continents. Real issues that owners need to solve and with input on how to solve this issues from 47 energy companies, owning wind farms.
We arranged a webinar to discuss Gearbox & Drivetrain issues among wind turbine owners. Prior to the webinar, each owner has to share their current top challenge on the given subject. We then turned these top challenges into a survey and have received very valuable info on best practice, analysis methods, suppliers, most trusted solutions and control systems, what to include in inspections etc.
With the huge response, we have decided to create a gearbox and drivetrain user group to develop this knowledge over time. Strange Skriver, among the most knowledgeable persons in the world on wind turbine gearboxes, will use the below outcome to create a proposed initial agenda, for this user-group.
