WindCom adds rope access to its blade service line-up

By Michelle Froese | May 20, 2019

WindCom is participating at the WINDPOWER 2019 event this week in Houston.

WindCom continues to build its reputation for addressing a diverse range of blade service needs by adding a new access method to its lineup.

Starting in June 2019, rope access repairs will allow WindCom to provide yet another cost-effective option for completing the most demanding blade services in the industry.

“Rope services will bring value to our customers by offering a combination of access methods that, when applied properly, lower costs. We believe in applying the right approach to meet the requirements of each job,” says WindCom’s General Manager, Gary Kanaby.

Technicians will now be able to access every section of the turbine including the nacelle, tower (inner and exterior), and blades for cleaning and repair. Rope repairs require only two people, so response times and cost for deployment are a great value.
