Wood, global provider of project, engineering, and technical services recently advised BluEarth Renewables Inc. on the acquisition of an operational wind farm located in Ontario, Canada.
The 33-MW St Columban wind farm consists of 15 Siemens wind-turbine generators and associated balance of plant.
“Wood has a great working relationship with BluEarth Renewables so we were delighted to have been given the opportunity to be involved in this acquisition,” said Neil Salmond, project manager at Wood.
As part of their scope of work, Wood’s engineers and consultants provided a key issues review of the St Columban wind farm, which included an operational Energy Yield assessment, assessment of potential grid curtailment impacts, and a site visit inspection.
“Our expertise with M&A deals and lenders is one of our key strengths and this project marks another high-profile addition to our global track record,” added Salmond.
