Gamesa has achieved another milestone in its Chinese sales strategy, signing a letter of intent with Hebei Construction & Investment Group (HCIG) for the supply of 150 MW.
This agreement was signed during today’s meeting between the Spanish President, Mariano Rajoy, and the Chinese Premier, Li Keqiang, as part of Rajoy’s visit to China to further bilateral economic ties.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will install 75 of its G97-2.0MW turbines at the Senjitu II wind farm, located in the province of Hebei, to the southwest of Beijing. The turbines would be delivered over the course of 2015.
Since 2008, Gamesa has supplied 128 MW to HCIG, one of the top 10 wind power operators in China and the largest player in Hebei province.
