ILSCO’s TaskMaster tool receives prestigious EC&M award

By Joshua Smalley | June 16, 2015

ILSCO has been named the 2015 EC&M Product of the Year Tool Category Winner for the company’s TaskMaster 3-in-1 battery-powered tool.

The TaskMaster tool has three easily interchangeable heads which cut, crimp, and punch. The 6-ton cutter head is designed to handle CU/AL building wire as thick as 750 kcmil and CU fine stranded wire as thick as 500 kcmil. The 4-indent crimping head is strong enough for similar-sized wire, and the punch head features ¾ in. and ⅜ in. draw bolts. In addition, the tool’s head rotates 360° and is powered by an 18 V lithium-ion battery.

EC&M subscribers have helped select the Product of the Year Platinum, Gold, and Silver award winners since 2000, with ILSCO winning in 2015 along with companies such as Eaton and Schneider Electric. Of the 199 entries, the field was narrowed down to the 42 category winners by a panel of judges.  ILSCO won in the Tools (Power) Category.
