At the packed black-tie dinner, hosted by the Renewable Energy Association at the Savoy Hotel, London, the SgurrEnergy team was awarded ‘Company of the Year.’
Renewable energy consultancy, SgurrEnergy, were victorious at the British Renewable Energy Awards (BREA) this week, winning the top award category as the ‘Company of the Year’. The accolade recognized the efforts of the business, which has successfully driven the advancement of renewable energy in the UK during the previous year.
Technical director, and joint founder of SgurrEnergy, Ian Irvine, was delighted with this prestigious award and said: “The last year has been a busy one for SgurrEnergy — from tackling research and development and launching new services to delivering complex renewables projects globally.
“SgurrEnergy was built on the belief that well planned, designed and optimized renewable energy projects will positively impact today’s world and it’s so rewarding to be recognized by industry awards for our efforts to drive this forward in the UK and beyond. We’re honored to be successful in this category and will look forward to continuing to deliver exciting projects around the world.”
This recognition follows a win in the project category in last year’s BREA awards for SgurrEnergy’s work on the development of the Salkhit project, Mongolia’s first wind farm. Developing from a small Glasgow-based consultancy, to an international leader in renewable energy, SgurrEnergy has marked significant global achievements in the last 13 years, with many industry leading projects cementing the company’s position during the last 12 months.
