Siemens now offering industrial online courses

By WPED Contributor | April 15, 2014

Siemens, in cooperation with Tooling U-SME, is now offering a selection of online, self-paced, industrial courses. With nearly 400 different titles, these courses are well-suited for building a staff training plan and on-boarding new employees.

Any 10 courses per person per year is $295. The entire catalog is available for $795.

Courses are student-guided and offer interactive learning accessible 24/7. Courses feature high-quality graphics, well-written on-screen text, supporting voice-over narration, and interactive exercises. Additional features include printable course content for reference and underlined vocabulary terms with definitions that pop up on mouse-over.

A course can be completed in one to two hours, but students can easily exit courses and later return to where they left off. In addition, students can repeat a course at any time and use the menu feature to go directly to the content they wish to review.

Knowledge retention is essential to improved work performance. By comparing the optional pre-test and post-test scores, students can see evidence of their knowledge gains and can also identify areas for review.

Any 10 courses per person per year is $295.  The entire catalog is available for $795.
