Suzlon Group, a global renewable energy solutions provider, has installed and commissioned two wind-energy projects of 50.40 MW each for India’s National Aluminium Co. Ltd. (NALCO).
One project consists of 24 units of Suzlon’s 2.1 MW wind turbines at Jath, Maharashtra. The other power plant consists of 24 units of Suzlon’s 2.1 MW wind turbines at Gondikota, Andhra Pradesh.
Both the projects have the potential to provide power to over 54,000 households and reduce 0.20 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.
At the commissioning, NALCO dedicated the 100.80 MW of wind power, attended by Shri. Jual Oram, Minister for Tribal Affairs and Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines.
