The most recent industry report from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) shows Dallas-based Tri Global Energy heading up 17% of total U.S. wind-farm construction activity with a project development total of 3,621 MW. This represents a record for the nine-year-old company, which has become a leading U.S. originator and developer of utility-scale wind energy.

According to AWEA, Tri Global Energy is heading up 17% of the total U.S. wind construction activity, and is developing a grand total of 3,621 MW.
AWEA’s Q2 2018 Market Report also shows Tri Global Energy leads Texas with more than 66% of all wind development currently under construction in the state. During Q2 2018, wind energy development for the U.S. industry reached a record 18,987 MW. Texas continued its lead among other states with 29% of the total U.S. wind project construction activity.
“The wind industry continues to show American leadership by bringing low-cost clean energy to market,” said John Billingsley, Chairman, and CEO at TGE. “We have a bold vision for our energy future — to develop clean energy at an affordable cost.”
Wind power’s low cost makes it one of the most competitive energy sources in many parts of the nation.
“For our nation to achieve energy independence, we need to produce more renewable energy,” added Billingsley.
