Broadwind will manufacturer towers to fill the order at its Manitowoc plant. Delivery is set for 2013.
Broadwind Energy Inc. said it recently received a $35 million order for towers from a U.S. wind turbine manufacturer. The order includes towers for various domestic wind projects. The towers will be produced in the Broadwind’s Manitowoc plant for delivery during 2013.
“The level of activity in our wind tower business remains strong and this order moves us one step closer to filing our tower capacity for 2013,” said Peter Duprey, company president and CEO in a statement announcing the order. Illinois-based Broadwind makes steel wind towers at its factories in Manitowoc and Abilene, Texas.
