International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum to launch national framework for offshore wind energy research

As Massachusetts has embarked on passing legislation that will create the beginning of a U.S. pipeline of offshore wind projects, the framework that is being developed by multiple research institutions connected with the emerging Massachusetts offshore wind industry will help establish the credibility, trust and quality communication necessary for advancing innovation effectively.

The session chairs will then moderate a dialogue aimed at vetting the proposed research framework from multiple points of view including the private, public, and academic sectors. The aim is to create a resilient, low-risk, productive, and world-leading offshore wind infrastructure and portfolio of wind farms with bankable, regulatable, insurable and litigable innovations.
