SCHURTER’s UMT-H now has rated currents up to 10A

By Michelle DiFrangia | March 12, 2014

SCHURTER has added thirteen rated currents to its UMT-H series of SMD fuses. The expanded series now offers a total of nineteen current ratings from 160 mA to 10A at voltages up to 277 VAC and 250 VDC.

The UMT-H SMD fuse with time-lag characteristic provides reliable overcurrent protection, while protecting against short circuits up to 1500A at rated voltage. Its compact size and high breaking capacity make it a space saving alternative to classic cylindrical 5×20 mm cartridge fuses.

With a rated voltage up to 277 VAC, the UMT-H primarily protects power supply units, in addition to a wide range of applications in power circuits and sensors. It is also suitable for protecting single phase industrial appliances, including devices required to meet the explosion protection standards according to IEC 60079-11. Examples include first responder equipment, industrial controls exposed to oil and gas environments, and lighting ballasts.

The UMT-H SMD fuse protects against short circuits up to 1500A at rated voltage.
