Sevkabel and Dow Electrical & Tele participate in cable-industry forum in Moscow

By Paul Dvorak | April 1, 2013

Dow E&T

It’s a deal. Roman Irkov, left, a Dow E&T accountant. shakes hands with a Sevkabel executive. The cable manufacturer in the Russian Federation became one of the first Dow Inside licensees in 2011.

Sevkabel group of companies and Dow Electrical & Telecommunications (Dow E&T), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Co. met during Cabex 2013, one of the largest cable conference and exhibitions in Russia, to discuss perspectives for advancing joint efforts that will combine quality Dow Endurance materials with the cable manufacturing know-how from Sevkabel for the installation of reliable and long lasting electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Discussions during Cabex included requirements for Endurance materials that will be used for the production of medium and high-voltage cables manufactured by Sevkabel for use used in venues in the Sochi region. The cables will be installed underground to manage long-term reliability issues, some of which are associated with the extreme weather and terrain conditions in the Sochi and Krasnodar regions.

Sevkabel, a cable manufacturer in the Russian Federation, became one of the first Dow Inside licensees in 2011. With product and technical support from Dow E&T, Sevkabel has already completed several important projects including installations for the Federal Grid in the mountain resort of Krasnaya Polyana and the ski resort complexes in Rosa-Hutor and Imeretinskaya Valley.
