Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa plans to roll out a 4.5 MW turbine by 2011. In jumping from 2 to 4.5 MW, Gamesa can catch the industry’s next major ramp up in mature markets after eight years of development during which competitors captured the 3 MW to 4 MW segment. The G10X turbine is said to focus on cost-effective scaling, from design to installation, and is positioned to overcome logistical barriers to a competitive product. However, the G10X’s success may hinge on Gamesa’s efforts to optimize blade production with partner M.Torres Diseños Industriales.

A mighty impressive machine. I would like the chance to talk to Gamesa about my product.
