The EDDYTHERM 2x bearing heater features a swivel arm and is suitable for bearings up to 176 lbs. while the EDDYTHERM Portable is suitable for bearings up to 22 lbs.
LUDECA has added two new bearing heaters – the EDDYTHERM Portable and the EDDYTHERM 2x – to their line of induction heaters. Both heaters allow setting time and temperature precisely to prevent premature bearing failures due to improper or overheating for installation. A magnetic temperature probe measures and displays actual temperature while a stand-by feature permits holding temperature at a pre-set level for an indefinite period. The heaters also demagnetize bearings after heating, and visual and audible signal announces termination of the heating and demagnetizing cycle.
“The EDDYTHERM is intended to shrink-fitting bearings for proper machine installation and it is ideally suited to heat sleeves, impellers, rings, couplings, crane wheels, and gears,” says Product Manager Bernd Seidenthal. “Proper shrink fitting extends the life of roller bearings and other workpieces.”
